1. Head of Department (in the rank of the Professor/Associate Professor in Education)
No. of Posts: 01
Educational Qualification:
- Postgraduate degree in Sciences or Mathematics or Social Sciences or Commerce or Languages.
- M.Ed.
- Ph.D. in Education
- Ten years of teaching experience in a teacher education institution as a Professor and eight years as Aan Associate Professor.
- Any other relevant qualification prescribed by the University Grants Commission for these categories of posts.
2. Assistant Professor in Liberal Discipline and Pedagogy

Discipline-wise vacancies:
- Mathematics: 01
- Physics: 01
- Chemistry: 01
- History: 01
- Geography: 01
- Political Science: 01
- Economics: 01
- English/Communicative Skills in English: 01
- Assamese: 01
Educational Qualification:
- Post-Graduate degree in Sciences (Physics or Chemistry or Botany or Zoology or Life Sciences or Bioscience) or Mathematics or Social Sciences (History or Geography or Political Science or Economics) or Languages (English or Modern Indian Languages or Classical Languages) or Commerce allied subjects) with a minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
- B.Ed. degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
- National Eligibility Test, State Level Eligibility Test, Doctor of Philosophy in Education, or in the concerned subject as prescribed by the University Grants Commission for these categories of posts.
3. Assistant Professor in Educational Studies

Educational Qualification:
- Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed.) with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade
- With National Eligibility Test, State Level Eligibility Test, Doctor of Philosophy in Education, or any other qualification prescribed by University Grants Commission for these categories of posts.
4. Assistant Professor in Health and Physical Education (Part-time)

Educational Qualification: Master of Physical Education (M.P. Ed.) with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
5. Assistant Professor in Arts Education (Part-time)

Educational Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Performing or Visual Arts with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
