Assam University Silchar has invited applications from eligible and intending candidates to recruit 5 Senior Research Fellows (SRF), Junior Research Fellows (JRF), and Research Assistant Posts in the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India – Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) scheme of IIT Bhilai Innovation and Technology Foundation (IBITF) sponsored research project entitled “Development of an Intelligent System for Weather Forecasting, Smart Farming and Information Dissemination for the Scheduled Tribe Community of Barak River Basin using Satellite Image Processing, ML and IoT.”

1. Research Assistant

Educational Qualification: B.SC/MSc/B.E./B.Tech (IT/CS) from a recognized university or equivalent

Salary: Rs. 20000/- + HRA per month

2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

No. of posts: 2

Educational Qualification: MSc/MCA/M.E./M.Tech (IT/CS) with CSIR-UGC NET/ GATE or the selection process through national-level examinations conducted by central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions.

Salary: Rs. 37000/- + HRA per month

3. Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

No. of posts: 1

Educational Qualification: Qualification prescribed for JRF with two years of research experience

Salary: Rs. 42000/- + HRA per month
