Eligibility Criteria of Tezpur University Non-Teaching Recruitment 2024

Age Limit:

  • Register: Preferably below 57 years
  • Internal Audit Officer: Not exceeding 56 years.
  • Deputy Register: Not exceeding 50 years.
  • Assistant Registrar: Not exceeding 40 years.
  • Assistant (Administration): Not exceeding 35 years.
  • Laboratory Assistant: 32 years at maximum.
  • Junior Accountant (Administration): 32 years at maximum.
  • Upper Division Clerk (Administration): 32 years at maximum.
  • Lower Division Clerk: Not exceeding 32 years.
  • Multi Tasking Staff: 32 years at maximum.

Educational Qualification:

⚫ Register:

1) A Master’s degree with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
2) At least fifteen (15) years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11 (Pre-revised PB-3: Rs. 15,600-39,100/- plus AGP of Rs. 7,000/-) and above or with 8 years of service in the Academic Level 12 (Pre-revised PB-3: Rs. 15,600-39,100/- plus AGP of Rs. 8,000/-) and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration.
Or
Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education
Or
Fifteen (15) years of administrative experience, of which eight (08) years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

 Internal Audit Officer:

Officers belonging to Audit and Accounts Services or other similar organized Accounts Services in Central / State Govt., holding analogous posts on a regular basis.
OR
With three (03) years of regular service in Level-11 or equivalent in the area of Audit and Accounts in any Govt. Department / Autonomous Bodies.
OR
With five (05) years of regular service in Level-10 or equivalent in the area of Audit and Accounts in any Govt. Department / Autonomous Bodies.

 Deputy Register:

  • i) Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
  • ii) Five (05) years of experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post in the Pay Level-10 and above.

⚫ Assistant Registrar: Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.

⚫ Assistant (Administration):

  • i) A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized institute / University.
  • ii) Three (03) years experience as UDC or equivalent in the Level-4 in Central / State Govt. / University / PSU and other Central / State Autonomous Bodies or equivalent pay package in any reputed private companies/bank with an annual turnover of at least Rs. 200 Crores or more.
  • iii) Proficiency in typing, computer application, noting, and drafting.

 Laboratory Assistant: Bachelor’s degree (in Physics) with a minimum of two years of working and maintenance experience with sophisticated scientific instruments in the Laboratory.
The experience should be in a University / Research Establishment / Central / State Govt. / PSU and other autonomous bodies or Private organizations of repute with an annual turnover of at least Rs. 200/- Crores or more.

 Junior Accountant (Administration):

  • i) A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized institute / University.
  • ii) Two (02) years experience as a Lower Division Clerk or equivalent posts in a University / Research Establishment / Central / State Govt. / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies or equivalent pay package in any reputed private companies / corporate banks with annual turnover of at least Rs. 200 Crores or more.
  • iii) Speed in English typing @35 WPM or Speed in Hindi typing @30 WPM
  • iv) Proficiency in computer operations.

 Upper Division Clerk (Administration):

  • i) A Bachelor’ Degree in any discipline from any recognized institute / University.
  • ii) Two (02) years’ experience as Lower Division Clerk or equivalent posts in University / Research Establishment / Central / State Govt. / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies or equivalent pay package in any reputed private companies / corporate banks with annual turnover of at least Rs. 200 Crores or more.
  • iii) Speed in English typing @35 WPM or Speed in Hindi typing @30 WPM
  • iv) Proficiency in computer operations.

 Lower Division Clerk:

  • i) A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized institute / University.
  • ii) Speed in English typing @35 WPM or Speed in Hindi typing @30 WPM (35 WPM and 30 WPM correspond to 10500 KDPH / 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each work).
  • iii) Proficiency in computer operations.

 Multi Multi-tasking staff: 10th pass from a recognized Board OR ITI pass.


Application Fee:

A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only) for the post of Registrar and 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) for the other posts. SC/ST/PWD categories are exempted.
