Assam University Silchar is seeking applications from eligible candidates for the position of Project Associate. This recruitment is part of a sponsored research project by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, under the Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) scheme of IIT Bhilai Innovation and Technology Foundation (IBITF). The project, titled "Development of an Intelligent System for Weather Forecasting, Smart Farming, and Information Dissemination for the Scheduled Tribe Community of Barak River Basin using Satellite Image Processing, ML, and IoT," aims to revolutionize farming practices and enhance the livelihoods of tribal communities.

Position: Project Associate

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should possess an M.E./M.Tech degree in IT/CS/Data Science/AI/ML. This opportunity is open to individuals who have a strong academic background and a desire to contribute to the field of technology-driven agriculture.

Monthly Emoluments:

Selected candidates will receive a monthly emolument as follows:

• Rs. 31,000 + HRA (with GATE/NET qualification)
• Rs. 25,000 + HRA (without GATE/NET qualification)
