Scale of Pay: Pay scale: Rs.30,000/- to 1,10,000/- and Grade Pay: Rs.12,700/-
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess any one of the following qualification/s.
(i) A candidate must be an advocate enrolled under the Advocate's Act, 1961 who has been practicing as such for at least 3 years. Or
(ii) A Judicial officer of at least 3 (three) years standing. Or
(iii) A Chief Language Officer of the Legislative Department holding a Degree in Law and having 3 (three) years experience as such officer or with 2 (two) years experience as such officer if he has previous experience as an Advocate for at least 3 (three) years. Or
(iv) A Language Officer of the Legislative Department holding a Degree in Law and having 5 (five) years experience as such officer or 2 (two) years experience as such Language Officer if he has previous experience as an Advocate for at least 4 (four) years.
Age Limit
The candidates should be at least 21 years of age and not more than 38 as of 01/01/2024. The upper age limit is relaxable
- (i) By 5 years for SCIST candidates, i.e. upto 43 years.
- (ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 41 years as per Govt. Notification No. ABP. 6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018.
- (iii) persons with benchmark disability (PWBD) 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and UR Category of candidates as per Govt. Memorandum No. ABP 180/2017/105 dated Dispur the 7th January 2019.
The age limit of the candidates will be calculated based on the Examination Admit Card/Pass CertificatelMarksheet issued by a recognized Central/State Board/CounciI where the Age/Date of Birth (DOB) is clearly reflected.
This document shall only be accepted in the abovementioned documents for age proof.
Other Eligibility Criteria
Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Residentship:
- (i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- (ii) The candidate must produce a PRC issued in Assam for educational purposes, an Employment Exchange Registration certificate as proof of residency, and the application form.
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must be registered themselves in any of the employment exchanges of Assam.
Small Family Norms: The candidates have to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of applying for the post.
