Bodoland University Assam has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 02 Scientist-C (Non-Medical) and Research Assistant altogether at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) sponsored National Task Force Project entitled “Sickle cell disease-related stigma, economic loss and Quality of life among tribal population of India-Udalguri district, Assam” under Prof (Dr.) Jatin Sarmah, Department of Biotechnology.

1. Scientist-C (Non-Medical)
No. of posts: 1
Qualification & Experience:
1st Class Master’s Degree in Anthropology/Psychology from a recognized University with 4 years of research experience OR 2nd class Master’s Degree + Ph.D. degree (in Anthropology/Psychology) from a recognized University.
Desirable: Experience in (i) health systems research on sickle cell/hemoglobinopathies in tribal areas, (ii) handling big data sets with working experience in SPSS, (iii) experience of handling qualitative data, (iv) scientific writing with evidence of publications in peer-reviewed journals, (v) communication skill in local languages.
Age Limit: Below 40 Years
Salary: Rs 51,000 pm + HRA on Basic Salary
2. Research Assistant
No. of posts: 1
Educational Qualification & Experience: Post-graduate (in Anthropology/Psychology/Zoology) from a recognized University
Desirable: Prior research experience from a recognized institution in (i) hemoglobinopathies-related research in tribal areas, (ii) working experiences in SPSS, (iii) experience of qualitative research, (v) communication skills in local languages.
Age Limit: Below 30 Years
Salary: Rs 31,000 pm
