Sports Authority of India (SAI) has recently invited online applications from eligible and intending candidates for the recruitment of 04 Junior Consultant (Legal) Vacancy purely on a contractual basis initially for a period of one (01) year which is further extendable up to two (02) more years i.e. 1+1 years.

Name of post: Junior Consultant (Legal)

No. of posts: 4

Salary: Rs. 60,000/- to Rs. 75,000/- (with an annual increment of 5%); the salary will differ according to qualification. 

Essential Qualification: Bachelor of Law (LLB) from a recognized University

Desired Qualification: Master of Law (LLM) from a recognized university (or) Specialization in Sports Law

Age Limit: The upper age limit, as on the date of publication of the notification, will be 45 years.

Essential Experience: Minimum 03 years of experience (in relevant field) after attaining a Bachelor of Law (LLB)/Master of Law (LLM) from a Recognized University.

Desired Experience: At least 01 years of experience working with the Government of India (Ministry/Department)/ Semi-Government / Autonomous / PSU

Job Responsilbilities

Junior Consultants engaged in the field of Law would be required to perform the following functions:

  • To draft counter affidavits, para-wise comments, rejoinder, Show Cause notices, Contracts, Agreements, Memorandum of Understandings (MoU).
  • Legal opinions on various sports related matters / administrative matters.
  • To assist / brief the Government Counsel regarding the court matters.
  • To render all legal assistance to the officers of the Department of Sports.
  • To keep abreast of the latest developments in laws regarding sports / administration matter.
  • To handle / assist in preparation of reports.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Reporting Officer.
