1. Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel
No. of posts: 2
Honorarium (Retainer Fee): Rs. 50,000/- to
75,000/-
Educational Qualification:
- Practice in Criminal law for at least 7 years
- Excellent understanding of criminal law
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Skill in legal research: Thorough understanding of ethical duties of defence counsel, ability to work effectively and efficiently with others, must have handled at least 20 criminal trials in Sessions Courts.
- IT Knowledge with proficiency in work.
2. Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel
No. of posts: 3
Honorarium (Retainer Fee): Rs. 25,000/- to
50,000/-
Educational Qualification:
- Practice in criminal law from 0 to 3 years.
- Good oral and also written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of ethical duties of defence counsel.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others.
- Excellent writing and research skills.
- IT Knowledge with proficiency in work.
How to Apply ?
Applicants who have fulfilled the above-mentioned eligibility criteria have to send Duly filled applications on standard application form (which is enclosed herewith) along with self-attested photocopies of all the relevant testimonials and 02 (two) copies of recent passport-size photographs should be addressed to the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Darrang, Mangaldai.
The name of the post should be mentioned clearly at the top of the Envelop. Providing of contact no with email ID are compulsory.
Applications will be received in the office of the District Legal Services Authority, Darrang till 5 P.M. or by post on all working days on or before 31st July, 2024.
