Assam Engineering Service Recruitment Board (AESRB) has invited applications from eligible and intending candidates for the recruitment of 58 Assistant Professor Vacancies (Technical and Non-Technical) in the State Engineering Colleges under the Higher Education (Technical) Department, Government of Assam.

1. Assistant Professor (Non-Technical)
No of Posts: 06
Educational Qualification: The qualification shall be as per the UGC Notification No. F.1 2/2017(EC/PS) dated 18th July 2018 and UGC guidelines issued from time to time.
Note: Candidates who have done a Ph.D. after a Bachelor’s Degree from an institution of National importance with GATE/CEED shall be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor.
2. Assistant Professor (Technical)
No of Posts: 54
Educational Qualification: Graduation & B.E./B. Tech./B.S. (4-year Degree course) and M.E./M. Tech./M.S. or integrated M. Tech in relevant branch
with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
Scale of Pay:
(Level 10) Rs. 57,700 – Rs. 1,82,400 plus other allowances as admissible under Rules.
Age Limit:
The candidate should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as of 01-01-2025. The upper age limit is relaxable up to:
- (i) 5 (five) years for SC/STP/STH candidates i.e. up to 43 years.
- (ii) 3 (three) years for OBC/ MOBC candidates i.e. up to 41 years
- (iii) 10 (10) years for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates i.e. up to 48 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category candidates.
Application Fees:
Applicants shall have to pay application fees of Rs.250.00 (For General candidates) and Rs.150.00 (For
OBC candidates) through the payment gateway provided in the online portal only on the website of
AESRB except for BPL and PwBD candidates. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes(SC) and
Scheduled Tribes(ST) are exempted from payment of application fee as per provision of the Assam Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Vacancies in Services and Posts) (Amendment)
Act, 2024.
