The Directorate of Health Service (DHS), Assam has recently invited applications from eligible and intending candidates for the recruitment of 919 Grade-III (Technical) ANM, Staff Nurse and Staff Nurse (Critical Care) Vacancies.

Other Eligibility Criteria of DHS Assam Latest Recruitment 2024
Age Limit:
The Candidates Should Not be less Than 18 Years of Age and Not more than 40 Years of Age as on 1st January 2024.
- For ST Candidates: 05 Years+
- For SC Candidates: 05 Years+
- For OBC Candidates: 03 Years+
- For PwBD Candidates: 10 Years+
Educational Qualification:
(i) Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM): Candidates applying for the post of ANM must have completed ANM Training from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, the Assam Nursing Council, or an Assam Government Institution, and must be registered under the Assam Nursing Council with a valid employment exchange registration in Assam.
(ii) Staff Nurse: Candidates must possess a GNM Diploma or B.Sc (Nursing) Degree from an institute or nursing college recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. Additionally, they must be registered under the Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council and hold a valid employment exchange registration in Assam.
(iii) Staff Nurse (Critical Care): Candidates must possess a GNM Diploma, B.Sc (Nursing) Degree, or higher qualification from an institute or nursing college recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, and must be registered under the Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council with a valid employment exchange registration in Assam. Additionally, applicants should have at least one year of experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
DHS Assam Pay Scale:
- Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM): The pay scale for the post is Rs.14,000 – Rs.70,000/- with a Grade Pay of Rs.6,200/-.
- Staff Nurse: The pay scale for the post is Rs.14,000 – Rs.70,000/- with a Grade Pay of Rs.6,800/-.
- Staff Nurse (Critical Care): The pay scale for the post is Rs.14,000 – Rs.70,000/- with a Grade Pay of Rs.6,800/-.
Selection Process: Preference to Contractual Employees: Preference will be given to contractual employees under NHM, Assam and other societies under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Assam who apply for any post advertised.
Selection Procedure Notification: The detailed selection process will be notified in due course on the official website of the Directorate of Health Services, Assam.
