Assam Public Service Commission has recently announced an employment notification for recruiting 212 Assistant Engineer (Civil), Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) and Junior Engineer (Civil) Vacancies under the Water Resources Department, Govt. of Assam.

1. Assistant Engineer (Civil) under Water Resources Department
No. of posts: 45
Pay: PB-4 Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 12,700/-
Educational Qualification: The candidate must possess a Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Civil Engineering (B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering) from an Indian or foreign university recognized by the Government.
Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025.
2. Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)
No of posts: 7
Pay: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- PM (PB-4) with Grade Pay of Rs.12,700/- PM
Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025.
Educational Qualification: Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical Engineering (B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering) from an Indian or Foreign University recognized by Govt.
3. Junior Engineer (Civil)
No of posts: 160
Pay: Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- PM (PB-2) with Grade Pay of Rs.8,700/- PM
Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2025.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidate must have 3 (Three) years Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology/ Civil & Planning from any technical institute recognized by AICTE.
- The Diploma course in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology must be a Regular Full-time course. Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology obtained through a Distance mode of education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
Age Relaxation for APSC Water Resources Department Recruitment:
The upper age limit is relaxable:-
- 5 years for SC/ST
- 3 years for OBC/MOBC
- 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and UR Category of candidates as per Govt.

- SC/ST/BPL/PwBD: Rs. 47.20
